Wolfen Lore
The Wolfen are a race of peaceful warriors, they love nature. They are a pack minded race, who tend to stick to themselves and do not answer to any one empire or kingdom. One city of wolfen may despise a neighboring city of wolfen, or may be close allies, it's all about how well the Alpha's get along. The Wolfen are builders, warriors, and scholars. They love a good fight, but they prefer not to kill, they love life. They have a very strong sense of honor and are loyal to their pack to a fault.
Hierarchy
Their cities are built in a pack structure, they have a form of rank among their kind and any wolf may take the alpha’s seat if they prove themselves worthy of the position. However, if they prove themselves to be unworthy to rule their city another wolfen in the city may step up and take over. The wolfen wishing to take the alpha would issue the current alpha a challenge of his choosing, whether it be physical combat, or a mental puzzle. The wolfen do have an overall leader, who rules over all packs justly, and keeps order for the most part, he does not interfere for the most part, but will step in and prevent packs from overrunning another pack, and in times of need will unite the packs together in a coalition of wolfen. This Supreme Alpha cannot be removed from power by any wolf with a challenge but must be elected to power by all the alphas of a pack. Only a pack Alpha may ascend to become a supreme alpha, and the pack alpha’s subjects may give input on this decision.
History
Culture
They believe in the spirits that are behind the workings of the universe, and when they discover how something works through science, they believe that the spirits are what brought forth this process, they believe their dead become one of these spirits, and that good spirits watch for them.
Stats:
Stronger than humans but not as strong as the Werewolf/Lycans. This has resulted in stronger weapons and armor being crafted as well as sturdier buildings.
Bare handed, They have claws, they can do more damage that a human or elf could with a bare hand. They still prefer weapons though, they don’t like getting flesh of their foes in their claws.
They wear armor into battle, but they cannot wear helmets due to the shape of their head, this has resulted in forging superior armor.
They cannot use magic on their own, they are not born with natural magic abilities. but highest ranks and specialised occupations can learn magic.
